I found this dopp kit in Brooklyn and had to offer it up to you. Made from heavy 20 oz. canvas (100% cotton) and lined with water resistant PEVA and a heavy duty YKK brass zipper, with an outside pocket, this is “the perfect Dopp kit.” And the PEVA lined interior makes for easy clean up. By the way, you know why they are called Dopp kits? Charles Doppelt, a leather goods designer from who came to the US from Germany in the early 1900’s owned a company and his nephew, Jerome Harris actually invented the thing, but because he worked for his uncle’s company it was named after his boss and uncle, with the shortened name “Dopp Kit.” During WWII the US Army issued them to recruits by the millions. These days are tough. Everything seems in flux. We are all soldiers, and life can be a battle. Pack up your toiletries. March.
